Allied Universal is seeking Professional Security Guard - Casual in GTA, Ontario.

Job Title: Security Guard - Casual

Location: GTA, ON

Type: Part Time - Casual

Pay Rate: $17.60 to$19.00 per hour

Overview :

We are currently seeking Casual/Floater Security Guards to support various sites across the GTA throughout the busy winter season. This role is ideal for experienced security professionals looking to pick up extra shifts, work in diverse environments, and provide reliable coverage where needed. Guards must be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in winter weather conditions.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

Site Coverage & Flexibility:

• Provide security coverage at multiple sites across the GTA based on operational needs.

• Be prepared to work a variety of shifts, including days, afternoons, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Patrols:

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols, identifying hazards, building deficiencies, suspicious activity, or prohibited behaviour.

• Ensure site safety, especially during winter conditions.

Access Control:

• Manage access for visitors, contractors, and deliveries when required.

• Ensure only authorized personnel enter designated areas.

Emergency Response:

• Respond to calls for service, security incidents, and life-safety emergencies in a timely and professional manner.

Incident Reporting:

• Complete accurate and detailed incident reports, daily logs, and shift notes.

• Document all safety concerns, occurrences, and site issues clearly.

Monitoring & Surveillance:

• Monitor CCTV, alarms, and access control systems based on site requirements.

Communication & Collaboration:

• Maintain professional communication with supervisors, clients, and team members.
• Support site operations by working collaboratively with other departments when applicable.

REQUIREMENTS :

• 1–2 years of security industry experience (retail, corporate, events, or similar preferred).

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License.

• First Aid & CPR certification.

• Must be flexible and able to work all types of shifts with open availability.

• Ability to commute to various sites across the GTA (Toronto, Scarborough, Mississauga, etc.).

• Comfortable working outdoors during winter weather, including snow, ice, and cold conditions.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and adapt quickly to new sites and procedures.

• Must be at least 18 years old and eligible to work in Canada.
