Allied Universal is seeking Professional Bilingual Casual Security Guards in Ottawa.

Title: Bilingual Casual Security Guard

Location: Ottawa and surrounding areas

Pay rate: $16.55 - $18.00 per hour (site-dependent)

Job Type: Part-time

Shift Hours: 24-40hrs per week

Shift Type:  Varies- Days, Afternoons; Overnight, and Weekends 

Job Summary:

As a Casual Security Guard, you will provide support across multiple sites and easily adapt to different work environments. Your primary responsibility is to maintain a safe and secure environment on an as-needed basis. This role involves monitoring premises, conducting patrols, and promptly responding to incidents. You will need to handle various assignments with professionalism and strong communication skills. This flexible position is perfect for those who can work irregular hours and are dedicated to ensuring safety and security in diverse settings. You may work up to 40 hours per week, with flexible scheduling

Responsibilities:

• Maintain a safe and secure environment
• Access control of entryways and exit points using equipment at your disposal
• Monitor security cameras and other surveillance equipment to detect and deter any suspicious or unauthorized activities.
• Enforce property regulations and city bi-laws on the client's site
• Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain order and establish presence
• Protect the client's assets relative to theft, assault, fire, and other safety issues
• Complete daily reports and incident reports
• Provide excellent customer service       
• Good adaptability

 Requirement:

• High school diploma or GED equivalent
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English-Required
• Open availability for shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• 1 year or more security-related experience
• First aid and CPR certification preferred
• Excellent customer service and resourcefulness 
• Good communication skills (written/oral)
• Driver's license and access to a vehicle (an asset)
