Job Title: Security Professional - Corporate Office (Fulltime)

Location: Brampton, ON

Type: Full Time

Pay Rate: $19.00 per hour

Shifts: Monday to Friday, 08:00AM - 04:30PM | Day Shift

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking a confident, proactive, and Security Professional - Corporate Office (Fulltime) to join our team at a corporate office location in Brampton, ON. This role is ideal for a security guard who is customer-service-oriented yet assertive, observant, and capable of acting independently when situations require immediate response.
The successful candidate will not be shy, will demonstrate strong situational awareness, and will be comfortable interacting with a diverse population, including individuals who may be vulnerable or experiencing distress. The Security Professional is expected to react appropriately without direct instruction, use sound judgment, and apply DE-escalation and tactical skills when required while always maintaining professionalism, discretion, and safety.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet, assess, and screen all visitors; verify identification and credentials to ensure that only authorized individuals gain access to the facility.
  • Monitor lobby activity, manage visitor flow, and maintain accurate visitor logs.
  • Conduct regular foot patrols of office floors, common areas, and surrounding property to proactively identify safety or security concerns.
  • Actively observe security cameras, alarm systems, and access-control systems to detect unusual behavior, threats, or policy violations.
  • Demonstrate initiative by identifying and responding to situations without waiting to be directed, using sound judgment and company protocols.
  • Interact confidently and respectfully with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including those who may be vulnerable, agitated, or in need of assistance.
  • Apply de-escalation techniques to defuse tense situations while maintaining control and ensuring the safety of all parties involved.
  • Utilize tactical awareness and positioning skills to manage incidents safely and effectively when necessary.
  • Respond calmly and efficiently to emergencies such as fire alarms, medical situations, or security incidents, following established procedures.
  • Accurately document incidents, observations, and daily activities in detailed written reports.
  • Maintain a polished, professional, and approachable presence to foster a secure and welcoming environment.
  • Collaborate closely with office management, building services, and internal teams to support daily operations and uphold security standards.



Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of security experience in a Shelter with Tactical skills is considered a strong asset.
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License (mandatory).
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
  • Eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours per week.
  • Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
  • Strong verbal communication skills; must be well-spoken, confident, and professional when engaging with the public.
  • Proven ability to work with vulnerable populations and manage sensitive situations with empathy and control.
  • Demonstrated experience in DE-escalation techniques and conflict management.
  • Tactical awareness and the ability to respond quickly and appropriately to evolving situations.
  • Self-motivated, alert, and capable of making decisions independently when required.
  • Reliable, dependable, and comfortable taking initiative.
