Allied Universal is seeking Temporary Security Professionals for one of Calgary's iconic summer event!  

Event Security Professional – Temporary Contract
Location: St. Patricks Island Park
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Schedule: All shifts available 

About the Role:
Join our security team for a Canada Day event at St. Patricks Island in Calgary, AB. We are looking for professional, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to ensure the safety and well-being of all attendees. Whether you’re experienced or looking to start your security career, this is an exciting opportunity to be part of one of Calgary’s top summer events.  This could lead to an extension for future events in Calgary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a Visible Presence: Act as a deterrent by maintaining a strong, professional security presence throughout the event grounds.

• Enforce Regulations: Uphold the event; report suspicious behaviour or security concerns.

• Crowd Control: Assist in managing guest flow, prevent overcrowding, and help guide attendees safely throughout the venue.

• Respond to Emergencies: Provide support during emergency situations, including evacuations, first response, or directing patrons to safety.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent

• Legally eligible to work in Canada

• Valid Alberta Security Guard License (Required)

• Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact professionally with guests and team members

• Previous experience in event security is an asset but not required

Working Conditions:

• Must be comfortable standing for long periods

• Role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions
