Position: Security Guard

Location: Downtown, Toronto

Payrate: $18.00- $19.75/hr

Schedule: 

• Monday- Friday: 14:00- 22:00 hours
• Open availablity is required : 07:00- 19:00 hours (continental shift) (Morning, evening shift)

Overview:

Allied Universal is seeking Experienced Security Guards to oversee security operations at our GTA sites. The ideal candidate is a seasoned guard with excellent communication skills, willing to work the mentioned shift, and able to manage the job requirements. If you have experience as a security guard, enjoy patrolling, and can maintain a high level of professionalism, we'd like to hear from you.

Requirement:

• 2 years of Security Guard  Experience required.
• Excellent customer service skills and computer skills required
• Ability to operate technology and wireless communication systems at client-specific sites.
• Must have a Valid Ontario Security License.
• Must be eligible to work in Canada up to 40 hours a week.
• First Aid and CPR
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
• Physically capable of standing or walking for long periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kilograms.

Responsibilities:

• Efficient with computers, ensuring effective patrolling and site security.
• Responds to Emergency Situations such as fires, Chemical Spills, Medical Emergencies, Phone Threats, answers alarms and investigate disturbances.
• Monitors and authorizes entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
• Completes monthly, weekly, and daily tasks assigned.
• Communicate with stakeholders, including site management, in a professional manner.
• Address and manage security incidents and emergency situations calmly and efficiently.
• Coordinating with other team leads to ensure seamless shift transitions and consistent security coverage.
• Perform regular patrols and site checks to maintain security standards.
• Comfortable learning security systems.
