Security Guard – Hiring Event | CF Sherway Gardens

Join us at our Allied Universal Hiring Event at CF Sherway Gardens Mall and explore exciting opportunities to join our security team.

We are looking for professional, reliable, and customer-focused Security Guards who are interested in working in a high-profile retail environment and making a difference every day.

Hiring Event Details:

Time: 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Location: CF Sherway Gardens Mall
Address: 250 The West Mall, Etobicoke, ON
Event Location: La Piazza – Between Entrances 4 & 5

Pay Rate: $20.00 – $20.29 per hour
Employment Type: Full-Time & Part-Time - Casual
Schedule: Continental Rotation

• 2 weeks of nights: 8:00 PM – 8:00 AM

• 2 weeks of days: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
  

Position Overview:

As a Security Guard at CF Sherway Gardens, you will play an important role in maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for shoppers, tenants, employees, and visitors.

The successful candidate will provide professional security services, monitor the property, respond to incidents, assist with access control and patrols, and provide excellent customer service while maintaining a strong security presence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain a visible and professional security presence throughout the property.

• Conduct regular patrols and monitor assigned areas.

• Monitor and respond to security and safety concerns.

• Respond appropriately to incidents and emergencies.

• Monitor access points and assist with access control procedures.

• Prepare and complete detailed incident reports and daily activity reports.

• Provide professional customer service and assistance to visitors, tenants, and employees.

• Observe and report suspicious or unauthorized activity.

• Follow all site-specific procedures, post orders, and Allied Universal policies.

• Work closely with site management and emergency services when required.

• Perform other security-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Minimum 2–3 years of security experience, preferably within a shopping centre, retail, commercial, or customer-service-focused environment.

• Valid Ontario Security Guard Licence.

• Valid Ontario Class G Driver's Licence with a clean driving record.

• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance eligibility requirements.

• Valid First Aid and CPR Certification.

• Strong report writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and security-related technology systems.

• Demonstrated ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.

• Professional appearance and commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.

• Ability to work rotating days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
