Title: Security Patroller and Dispatcher
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Wage: $21 - $25 per hour
Position: Full Time
Positions Available:
Day and night rotational schedule – 4 on / 4 off, 5 on / 5 off
Allied Universal® is seeking diligent and dependable Security Patroller and Dispatchers for our team in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including patrolling and dispatching responsibilities, with strong communication and attention to detail being key to ensuring a safe environment. closely with clients and security professionals, ensuring the highest level of service and compliance.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Respond promptly to emergency and security-related calls via radio and telephone, communicating effectively with field personnel using radio and telecommunication systems.
- Monitor and manage CCTV cameras, access control alarms, and other systems, including Access Control, Paging, Telecommunication, and Radio Systems.
- Prioritize service calls, allocate manpower efficiently, and adjust responses based on system inputs such as Headcount Assembly and Lightning/Weather Monitoring.
- Conduct foot and vehicle patrols, documenting observations and incidents using Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) and other reporting tools.
- Take swift, effective action during security incidents and emergencies.
- Prepare detailed reports on patrol activities and system data for management.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid Alberta Security Guard License
- Class 5 Driver’s License with 1 year of driving experience, clean abstract, and at least 25 years of age (insurance requirement)
- Eligible to work full-time in Canada
- Valid First Aid and CPR certification
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience
- Strong English communication skills (verbal and written)
- Professional communication with clients and colleagues
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Physically able to walk/stand for long periods, climb stairs, work in all weather, and lift/carry up to 20 kg
- Quick decision-making and adaptability in changing situations
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Grant MacEwan Emergency Communications Certificate or related experience is an asset
