Position: Security Professional - Casual
Type: Full Time
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Pay Rate: $21.00 -$22.50 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday 07:30-4:00PM
This is Temp for 6 months maybe extended to 18 months
Overview:
We are seeking a Security Professional to join our team in a steady, established industrial setting. In this role, you’ll provide real-time support for emergency incidents, monitor security systems, and dispatch responses to ensure the site’s safety and security. This position offers hands-on experience in high-stakes security dispatching, ideal for those looking to build or enhance careers in emergency response and security operations.
Requirement:
- Valid Alberta security guard license.
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology at client specific sites
- Experience with report writing and note-taking.
- Valid Class 5 Driver’s License and own vehicle as the site is not on the public transport route.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- First Aid and CPR
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or equivalent/GED or equivalent work experience
- Ability to stand or walk for extended periods, occasionally climb stairs, and lift or carry up to 40 pounds.
- Must comply with the site's clean-shave policy due to Health and Safety compliance
Responsibilities:
- Conduct foot patrols of buildings and surrounding areas.
- Monitor and report suspicious activities and persons.
- Prevent and detect thefts or vandalism.
- Write detailed incident reports and maintain daily logs.
- Enforce rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Resolve conflicts calmly and effectively.
- Use radios and cell phones to communicate with team members.
- Follow emergency procedures and respond to alarms.
- Ensure safety and security protocols are upheld.
