- A valid Alberta Security License is required.
- Must comply with the site's clean-shave policy due to Health and Safety compliance
- Must be at least 25 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in security is an asset.
- A valid Alberta Class 5 (Non-GDL) Driver’s License is required (May be required to provide 5-year drivers abstract upon hire)
- Strong computer skills are essential.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
- Maintain a professional and neat appearance.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all personnel and the public.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Capable of handling crisis situations calmly and efficiently at the client site.
- Verify staff identity and credentials to ensure authorized access.
- Manage visitor check-in and check-out processes, including the distribution and collection of identification.
- Conduct regular foot and mobile patrols throughout the building and across the property.
- Monitor the premises to identify, report, and prevent suspicious activity, theft, or vandalism.
- Document all daily activities and security incidents through clear, comprehensive narrative reports and logs.
- Enforce all facility rules, regulations, and safety policies consistently.
- Respond promptly and effectively to alarms, security-related emergencies, and safety incidents.
- Manage conflict situations calmly and professionally to de-escalate potential issues.
- Maintain clear, consistent communication using radios and mobile devices while adhering to all operational protocols.
- Ensure ongoing compliance with site-specific safety and emergency procedures.
- Maintain prolonged standing, walking, and occasional running on various surfaces.
- Navigate stairs, ramps, and ladders throughout the shift.
- Perform extended periods of driving.
- Frequently bend, twist, and reach to complete job tasks.
- Lift and carry up to 40 pounds.
- Work in diverse environments, including exposure to extreme outdoor weather conditions
