Position: Security Supervisor
Type: Full Time 
Location: Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta
Pay Rate: $29.81 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time Schedule: Morning Shift - Monday - Friday ; 1000 - 1800. 
Overview:
We are seeking a Security Supervisor  to join our team in a steady, established industrial setting. In this role, you’ll provide real-time support for emergency incidents, monitor security systems, and dispatch responses to ensure the site’s safety and security. This position offers hands-on experience in high-stakes security dispatching, ideal for those looking to build or enhance careers in emergency response and security operations.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders
  • Provide direction and instruction to subordinates regarding the performance of their duties.
  • Cross-training officers to make them more versatile and run site efficiently.
  • Make productivity and cost reduction recommendations to management.
  • Make recommendations for positive and negative personnel actions for those under their direct supervision.
  • Oversee on-site training for security officer assigned to his/her shift.
  • Ensure quality of service and contract compliance by regularly inspecting security personnel and their job performance when assigned to his/her shift.
  • Complete day to day operations such as: mobile patrols, foot patrols, and audits.
Requirements :
  • Due to the safety requirements - must clear drug testing.
  • Must be at least 25 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Clean criminal Record
  • Must comply with the site's clean-shave policy due to Health and Safety compliance
  • Possess strong computer skills.
  • Must have Alberta Security License
  • Must have Albert Driver's License
  • Minimum three (3) to four (4) years of security experience, including previous supervisory or leadership experience.• Strong understanding of scheduling, access control, patrol procedures, incident response, and site operations.
  • Proven ability to lead a team, resolve issues professionally, and maintain a high standard of accountability.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, visitors, clients, and management.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with the ability to manage reports, logs, schedules, and operational records accurately.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and experience using access control, video monitoring, and other security-related systems is an asset.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm, professional, and solution-oriented.
The successful applicants must complete the Dispatcher Training Program which includes but is not limited to:
  • Site orientation and Facility familiarization
  • Emergency Procedures
  • Incident training (Drills/Exercises)
  • Radio communications
  • Telephone features
  • Report writing
The individual will have the ability to utilize the following systems:
  • Access Control System
  • Site Paging Systems
  • Site telecommunication systems
  • Site radio systems
  • Headcount Assembly System
