Security Site Supervisor

Work Location: Downtown Halifax, NS
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday to Friday | 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Overview

Allied Universal is seeking a professional and experienced Security Site Supervisor for a marine facility located in Downtown Halifax. The successful candidate must hold a valid Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) designation and demonstrate strong leadership, operational oversight, and compliance management skills within a regulated security environment.

This position reports directly to a Regional Service Manager and is responsible for overseeing daily site security operations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supervising assigned security personnel.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support site security personnel on assigned shift
• Ensure compliance with Marine Transportation Security Regulations (MTSR) and site-specific security plans
• Perform CCTV monitoring and incident response
• Conduct patrols (interior and exterior), including exposure to weather conditions
• Prepare reports, maintain logs, and ensure accurate documentation
• Respond to emergencies and liaise with local authorities when required
• Enforce company policies and client procedures
• Provide leadership, coaching, and performance oversight

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Valid Marine Facility Security Officer (MFSO) Designation
• Valid Nova Scotia Security License (must be able to obtain Nova Scotia License)
• Current First Aid & CPR Certification
• Experience with CCTV camera monitoring
• Previous supervisory or leadership experience in security
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Eligibility to work in Canada

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to walk for extended periods
• Ability to stand for long periods
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions

Additional Information:

• This is a non-union position
• This role requires on-site presence in Downtown Halifax
• Only candidates meeting the MFSO requirement will be considered
