Responsibilities:
- Monitor and control access to the site, ensuring that only authorized persons can enter.
- Carry out regular patrols of the premises to identify and resolve security risks.
- Incident response: Respond to security incidents and emergencies, ensuring the safety of all concerned.
- Operate and monitor security systems, including CCTV, access control and alarm systems.
- Reporting: Maintain accurate security logs and incident reports; escalate issues as necessary.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with provincial and local security regulations.
- Team collaboration: Work closely with other safety personnel and customer staff to maintain a safe environment
Qualifications:
- 6 months to 1 year of proven experience as a security officer
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Computer skills required: Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reports and documentation.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or equivalent work experience.
- Must possess a valid Provincial Security License
- First aid certificate required
- Provide documents that confirm you can work 40 hours per week in Canada.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Driving Positions:
- Valid full driver's license (for driving positions)
- Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes
- Obtain a clean driver abstract
