Allied Universal – Patrol – Residential - Overnight in Mississauga, Ontario
Job Title: Patrol – Residential - Overnight
Location:Mississauga, ON
Type: Full-time
Pay Rate: $18.70 per hour
Shifts: Tueday to Saturday | 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM
Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and professional Patrol – Residential - Overnight to support security operations within a residential site in Mississauga, ON. This role serves as a first line of defense, providing a visible presence to deter crime, protect property, and ensure the safety of residents, visitors, and assets.
Security Guards in this position require experience in mobileresidential security and will be responsible for monitoring access points, responding to emergencies, and delivering exceptional community-focused security services across the residential site.
Responsibilities:
- Site Surveillance & Patrol: Conduct high-visibility, routine, and randomized patrols to deter theft, vandalism, car break-ins, loitering, and other unauthorized activities and Perform perimeter and area checks, including doors, windows, gates, and common amenity areas, ensuring all areas remain secure.
- Access Control: Monitor and control access points by screening residents, visitors, delivery personnel, and contractors. Log visitor activity and enforce site access protocols to prevent unauthorized entry and manage front desk operations and monitor CCTV systems when required.
- Emergency Response: Respond immediately and appropriately to alarms, security breaches, fires, medical emergencies, and other incidents. Assist residents and coordinate with emergency services when required.
- Incident Reporting & Documentation: Prepare detailed incident and occurrence reports for management and law enforcement when required and maintain accurate daily activity logs documenting patrols, observations, and actions taken while providing clear handover notes to ensure continuity between shifts.
- Community Support & Liaison: Act as a liaison between residents, property management, and local authorities during incidents or investigations and maintain a professional, customer-service-oriented approach to enhance resident confidence and safety.
Requirements:
- 1–2 years of experience working in mobile or residential security
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Minimum age of 25 years for insurance purposes
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED or equivalent work experience accepted)
- Physically capable of standing or walking for extended periods, climbing stairs, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 20 kg
- Eligible to work in Canada for up to 40 hours per week
- First Aid and CPR certification required
