Security Guard – Long Term Care Facility

Location: Mississauga, ON
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $18.15 per hour
Shift: Overnight Continental Shift

Job Overview:

Allied Universal® is hiring Security Guards for a Long Term Care (LTC) facility in Mississauga, Ontario. This role is ideal for professionals with experience in healthcare, long-term care, or environments supporting vulnerable populations.

Security staff play a key role in maintaining a safe, respectful, and secure environment for residents, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and control access to the facility

• Verify identification and maintain visitor logs

• Conduct interior and exterior patrols

• Respond to medical, security, and behavioral incidents

• Use verbal de-escalation techniques when required

• Assist staff during emergencies and evacuations

• Complete accurate incident reports

• Work closely with facility and healthcare staff

Requirements:

• Valid Ontario Security Guard License

• Minimum 1–2 years of security experience (healthcare or LTC preferred)

• Experience working with vulnerable populations

• Strong communication and de-escalation skills

• First Aid & CPR Certification

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Legally eligible to work in Canada
