- Site Surveillance & Patrol: Perform regular patrols of the site and surrounding areas to ensure the security of the premises. Monitor all entry points for unauthorized access.
- Visibility & Coverage: Maintain high visibility at the designated posts. Ensure security coverage near sensitive areas within the site.
- Access Control: Enforce site access protocols by verifying the identification of authorized personnel, logging visitor entry and exit, and ensuring that gates and doors remain securely locked when not in use.
- Communication: Maintain clear and constant communication via radio with other security personnel. Report incidents, unusual activities, or security concerns promptly.
- Emergency Response: Respond quickly and appropriately to any emergencies, including medical incidents, fires, or security breaches. Contact emergency services and assist as necessary.
- Incident Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of all security activities, incidents, and patrols. Complete shift reports and provide detailed handover notes for the next shift.
- Site & Asset Protection: Prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access to site materials and equipment. Ensure all property is secured at all times.
- Compliance with Safety Procedures: Ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures on-site, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) by all personnel.
- General Security Duties: Ensure the overall safety and security of the site and surrounding areas by addressing any security risks or safety concerns that arise during the shift.
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License (Required).
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Recent graduates and early-career professionals are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in corporate reception, front desk operations, concierge, hospitality, customer service, administration,
access control, or visitor management is an asset. - Ability to commit to a minimum one-year assignment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, basic Excel/data entry, and digital logging/reporting systems.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills suitable for a corporate executive office environment.
- Clear, confident, and professional speaking ability for phone, email, and visitor-facing communication.
- Polished corporate presentation, strong customer-service demeanor, and professional appearance.
- Reliable attendance, punctuality, sound judgment, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
