Job Title: Security Systems Manager
Location:
North York, ON

Pay-Rate: $28.00 to $30.50 per hour

Shift: Monday to Friday, 0800-1630 

Description:

The Security Systems Manager, Canada (External), reports directly to the Manager, Security Systems North America.  Primary focus of this role is ensuring all Security Systems, Security Hardware, and applications are operational, serviced, and tested as required by the business in the Canadian Region. 

Due to site requirements in pharmaceutical, individuals will be required to provide proof of vaccination for the following:

    • Diphtheria
    • Pertussis
    • Tetanus
    • Flu

      Provincial coverage for vaccinations. Additional fees will be covered by  Allied Universal that are associated with the vaccination process.

Job Responsibilities/Department Description:

This position is based in Toronto, Canada and is a member of the Security Systems and Technology Team.  Primary work will include:

  • Management of Security Service and equipmentrepair for all Canadian sites. 
  • Management and technical support of the Security Access Control Systems.
  • Management of Security Systems Alarms.
  • Canadian Security System installation and maintenance technical
  • Security Project Management for new and on-going application and hardware projects
  • Support for NorthAmerica-Security related applications within Canadian region.
  • Develop collaborative relationshipswith Sanofi departmentheads to fosteralignment, improveunderstanding, speed of delivery and productivity.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures for staff.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of application training for security staff
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security solutions throughoutNorthAmerica.
  • Interact with end users and customers to determine user requirements and functional specifications as it relates to implementing new security applications and systems.
  • Evaluate and monitor Security equipment to ensure all systems and hardware are operational and preventative maintenance is performed. 
  • Proactivelyreview active alarm and system performances to ensureeffectiveness

Principle Accountabilities;

The diverse nature of this position requires a high degree of technical knowledge. Additionally, the ability to evaluate data from multiple systems that are to be supported by the incumbent is critical in order to be able to provide management with effective solutions.

  • Accountability for the quality and performance results of the systems in the production environment.
  • Timely response to requests for support from Tier 1 with special attention for urgent issues.
  • Utilizeexistingsystemswhile monitoring technological changes and recommendingtechnologicalenhancements as appropriate

Associated activities include:

  • Additional duties and responsibilities as required
  • Assist with Security Operations and procedures as it applies to Security Technology Solutions

Requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work Full-Time hours in Canada. 
  • Must have a valid Ontario Security License.
  • Standard CPR or willing to obtain one (reimbursement will be provided)

Qualifications & Personal Skills: (below are examples of bullets to include)

  • Five (5) yearsrelatedexperience or an BS/BA and Three (3) years related experience in security systems management program delivery in a challenging, fast-paced corporate environment, preferably for a large, multinational corporation.
  • Analytical and strategic thinking skills required.
  • Ability to successfully work on complex issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth knowledge of the company. 
  • Requiresdeepunderstanding of how their area of responsibility relates to other areas and the business overall.
  • Strong interpersonnel skills and the ability to supervise and coordinatesecurityvendoractivities.

  1. Honeywell ProWatch
  2. Exacqvision
  3. Access Sentry
  4. SureView
  5. Key Watcher

  • Technical knowledge of key business tools; ability to analyze complex problems, generate multi-dimensional solutions; strong knowledge of security, political and law enforcement issues that directly affect or impact people, information and products.
  • Excellent written and communication skills; ability to interact with senior management effectively.
  • Organizational ability and time management skills.

Professional Skills

  • Decision making skills necessary to establish priorities based on resolution time, business impact, etc.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills necessary to troubleshoot escalated issues and their closure with a minimum down time.
  • Excellent communication skills necessary to interact with end users and internal and external interdepartmental customers.
