Position Title: Security Manager
Location: Ottawa Ontario
Employment Type:Full-Time

Hourly Rate: $25.10  per hour

Vacancies: 1

Shift Schedule:  8am to 4pm


Position Summary

The Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all security operations within  the facility, ensuring the safety and security of employees, visitors, assets, and operations. This role leads a team of security professionals, manages risk, ensures compliance with corporate policies, and supports a safe, efficient, and high-performing environment.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader with experience in security operations, incident management, and team supervision in fast-paced environments such as logistics, distribution, or large-scale facilities.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage day-to-day security operations across the facility
  • Supervise, train, and develop a team of security personnel, ensuring high performance and accountability
  • Develop and manage staff schedules, coverage plans, and workforce allocation
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and security procedures
  • Oversee access control, CCTV monitoring, and incident response protocols
  • Respond to and manage security incidents, emergencies, and escalations
  • Conduct investigations, document findings, and implement corrective actions
  • Partner with internal stakeholders, including operations and HR teams, to support site safety and security goals
  • Perform regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance security effectiveness and efficiency

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Proven experience in security operations, preferably in a supervisory or management role
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience in scheduling, Payroll, workforce planning, and performance management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure and fast-paced environments
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • Knowledge of access control systems, incident reporting, and security protocols
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and reporting tools
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in logistics, warehouse, or distribution center environments
  • Background in risk management, investigations, or loss prevention
  • First Aid & CPR certification
