Position: Security Supervisor - Retail
Location: Prince Albert, SK
Type: Full-time
Shift: 0700 to 1500hrs
Schedule: Sunday to Thursday, including holidays
Rate: $21 per hour
OVERVIEW
Are you a safety-minded professional with strong leadership skills and a passion for customer service? Allied Universal is looking for one Security Supervisor to join our team at a busy retail location. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in protecting people and property, and can lead by example. As the Security Supervisor, you will oversee daily security operations, support a team of guards, and act as the key point of contact for incidents, site inspections, and client communication. Your focus will be on ensuring a safe, welcoming, and secure experience for staff and shoppers alike.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and support front-line security personnel during daily operations
Respond to incidents, safety concerns, and emergencies in a calm and professional manner
Conduct regular patrols to ensure a visible and proactive security presence
Work closely with store management to support safety, customer service, and loss prevention goals
Maintain accurate and timely reporting, including incident logs and shift documentation
Support scheduling needs by assisting with coverage adjustments, shift changes, and team communication
Provide on-the-job coaching, performance guidance, and act as a point of escalation for team concerns
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent
- Legally entitled to work in Canada
- Possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner
- Licensing requirements are subject to province and/or local laws and regulations and will be required prior to employment.
- As a condition of employment, employee must successfully complete a background check
- Display exceptional customer service and communication skills
- Have intermediate computer skills to operate innovative, wireless technology
- Ability to handle crisis situations at the client site, calmly and efficiently
- Able to:
- Work in various environments such as cold weather, rain/snow or heat
- Occasionally lift or carry up to 20 kilograms
- Climb stairs, ramps, or ladders occasionally during shift
- Stand or walk on various surfaces for long periods of time
