Allied Universal is currently searching for a Security Site Supervisor. The Security Site Supervisor will embrace our company’s core values. The Security Site Supervisor will supervise and coordinate the delivery of quality services. The Site Supervisor will act as a liaison between customer, Operation Manager and security officers. Supervise site staff, providing coaching, recognition and discipline within approved empowerment range.

Location: Toronto, ON - Bayview Ave

Type: Full Time - Permanent

Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

Shifts: 0800-1600 Monday to Friday (Ability to occasionally work alternate hours and on weekends is a must)

Essential Employment Requirements:

• Valid First Aid and CPR
• Valid Security Guard License
• Must have 2 to 3+ years Previous Retail Experience
• Supevisory experience required
• Excellent communication and deescalation skills a must

Overview:

We are currently seeking a qualified Security Supervisor to join our team in a retail environment.  This position is responsible for the delivery of security services and supervision of security staff.

Responsibilities Include, but are not limited to:

• Provide direct supervision, development, evaluation and performance management of all security professionals.
• Coach, mentor and train all staff ensuring all training compliance is met and kept up to date.
• On-call for after-hours escalations
• Scheduling of site staff
• Lead and assist with property related security investigations.
• Conduct regular key and access card audits
• Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the SOP’s
• Prepare complete, accurate and factual reports for all reportable incidents
• Respond to a varied array of “calls for service” as well as provide first responder services for all security and life safety emergencies and incidents.
• Enforcement of applicable criminal code and legislative statutes, as directed.
• Conduct general as well as focused patrols (interior and exterior) looking for hazards, building deficiencies, insecure premises, criminal or prohibited activity, suspicious persons, suspicious activities, items, or vehicles.
• Provide access control and the monitoring of pedestrian and/or vehicle traffic
• Identify security and building deficiencies, safety hazards
• Alarm Response
• Provide access control where applicable, to include managing access for contractors and delivery personnel.
• Dispatch security personnel to respond to non-emergency and emergency calls for service. Contact emergency services (police, fire, ambulance)
• Other duties as assigned

Skills/Knowledge/Qualifications:

• Relevant University and/or College Diploma
• Minimum two or more years of supervisory experience, preferably in the Retail sector
• Proficiency in MS
• Knowledge of CCTV systems, control systems and monitoring of alarms
• Experience in critical environments where decision making, and actions can impact life-safety and business continuity
• The ability to problem-solve by active listening
