Job Title: Central Monitoring Station Operator
Job Location: Winnipeg, MB
Job Type: Part-Time
Pay Rate: $19.80 per hour
Shifts: Friday - Saturday 2300-0700 for regular shifts and additional weekdays evening and night availability required.
Overview :
Allied Universal is seeking an experienced Central Monitoring Station Operator to oversee security operations at our Canadian site in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
Requirement:
- Minimum 3 years of work experience in Canada (required).
- Prior experience in alarm monitoring, dispatch, or call center environments (preferred).
- Advanced-level computer skills with ability to quickly learn new software platforms.
- Above-average typing speed with a high degree of accuracy (typing test may be required).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Excellent multitasking, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Specific Duties Performed and Essential Functions :
- Monitor intrusion, fire, panic, duress, and environmental alarm signals from client locations.
- Use CCTV systems and software to verify alarms and monitor ongoing activity.
- Dispatch emergency services (police, fire, EMS) and/or mobile patrol units as needed.
- Communicate with clients, keyholders, and emergency contacts following company and client protocols.
- Document all alarm events, calls, and responses accurately in the monitoring system.
- Coordinate with field security teams and respond to client service requests in a timely manner.
- Perform regular system health checks and report issues with alarm or communication systems.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Follow all standard operating procedures (SOPs), escalation protocols, and safety regulations.
